Caroline Kilel Wins 2011 Boston Marathon (Female Results)

Caroline Kilel Wins 2011 Boston Marathon (Female Results)

Kenya’s Caroline Kilel held on to beat an amazing performance by American Desiree Davila by just two seconds to win the 115th Boston Marathon with a time of 2:22:36.

Davila finished 2 seconds back at 2:22:38 and third went to Kenya’s Sharon Cherop 2:22:42.

American Kara Goucher, who gave birth just this past year finished in 5th plaec at 2:24:52.

Oak Barrel Half Marathon Logo – Lynchburg, Tennessee – Jack Daniels

George Heeschen Wins Oak Barrel Half Marathon (Results)

Huntsville native George Heeschen won the Oak Barrel Half-Marathon in Lynchburg, Tennessee on Saturday with a time of 1:17:22.

Second male went to John Thorpe (1:20:00) and third to Eric Charette (1:20:06).

Anne Myers, of McMinnville, was the female champ, finishing the 13.1 mile race in 1:34:36.

Shada Walls grabbed second (1:37:00) and Emily Rutherford (1:39:29) finished out the female stand.

Arkansas homegirl Leah Thorvilson, who has been winning every race she has been entering of late, won the 2011 Little Rock Marathon, as the first woman across the finish line on Sunday, with a time of 2:45:51.

Rocky Raccoon Ultra Marathon 100 Mile Race Logo

2011 Rocky Raccoon 100 Mile Trail Run Results

An elite field showed up in Huntsville, Texas this Saturday for the 2011 Rocky Raccoon 100 Mile Trail Race that included Scott Jurek, Anton Krupicka, Karl Meltzer, Liza Howard, Zach Gingerich and a young pup by the name of Ian Sharman, who not only won the race but set a course record by 32 minutes with a time of 12:44:33.

Liza Howard was the first female finisher with a blazing time of 15:33:09

Here is the official finisher’s medal from the 2011 Maui Oceanfront Marathon.  It is a beautiful and colorful piece much like the extremely scenic and beautiful course along the ocean.

The 2011 marathon was won by Justin Gillette in 2:35:39 (course record)

Vikena Yutz Awards Ceremony Across The Years Endurance Race

Vikena Yutz Wins Across The Years 72-Hour Endurance Race (Results)

The Across The Years 72-Hour Endurance Race is over and Vikena Yutz was the female winner putting down 216.237 miles during the three-day race.  Not only was she the #1 female, but Kena placed sixth overall.

Second place female went to Joan Hellman with 200.082 miles and third to Iliana Dimitrova with 157.518 miles.

All of the ATY races take place in Buckeye, Arizona at the Nardini Manor each year.
