Day 23: Run It Fast’s Race Across the USA – Mojo Breaks On Through

Mojo Rising finished Run It Fast’s Race Across the USA this morning when Los Angeles native Lindsay Phenix ran the last miles for her team onto the Santa Monica Pier.

Mojo finished with a time of 22 Days, 10 Hours, 28 Minutes. They are the 7th team to finish the race.

Mojo was wonderfully consistent every day of the race with solid contributions and wonderful chemistry from everyone on the team. They recorded at least 100+ miles every day and you could almost always set your clock by them finishing the day with ~134 miles.

After finishing on the Santa Monica Pier early this morning, the team ran another 70+ miles up and down the boardwalks alongside the Pacific Ocean.

The team was led by Lindsay Phenix’s 570.80 miles, along with Audrey Davis’s 368.22 miles and 354.13 miles from JR Reynolds.

Team captain Tiffani Glass has her team humming wonderfully as everyone is chipping in big miles. They had the most miles on the day and very likely will be ‘Dancing on Glass’ tomorrow evening on the Santa Monica Pier before the sun goes down on day 24 of the race.

They were led today by Brendon Chiu’s 24.49 miles who has really upped his game the past ten days of the race. Joan Lamayo-Buse was a big help once again with 24.13 miles, and Yvette Campos continued her amazing race with 23.08 miles.

The Trips answered team captain’s silent call for help with a big jump to 126.37 miles and a second place finish on the day. They were led by Marylou Corino and Russ Metteer who both ran 37+ miles. Jeremy Kluttz was solid for 16.00 miles.

The Roots had another strong day led once again by Sue Stephens-Wright and Amy Costa both going for 21 and change. Brenda Cross was wonderful with 15.10 miles. There is an outside chance The Roots will be able to catch Trips 2 My Lou with another couple strong days before reaching the pier.
