Day 28: Run It Fast’s Race Across the USA – Peers on the Pier

Run It Fast’s Race Across the USA came to a close this morning, on it’s 28th day, when Wayne McComb led Peers One onto the first plank of the Santa Monica Pier as P-One became our 12th and final team to cover the 2,907.00 miles from New York City to the Santa Monica Pier.

The team was led in miles on it’s cross country journey by team captain Rich Peers with 484.11 miles. Wayne McComb joined him over 400 miles with 424.85.

The team had over 300 miles each from Steve Durbin (359.41),  Diane Taylor (309.60), and Karla Kent (309.54).

The team suffered a big blow about a week into the race when it’s stud Thomas Fowler, who was averaging 30+ miles a day, went down with a foot injury that kept him out of the lineup most of the way. However, this setback was only temporary as the team grew closer together, dug deeper, and put in so many miles to get it done.

Congrats to Peers One.

After four weeks and 34,884.00 miles our journey has come to an end.
