Steve Jobs’ Unpublished Flying Monkey Marathon Commercial ‘Think Monkey’

We lost Steve Jobs on October 5, 2011 but one of his last, unpublished commercials, ‘Think Monkey’ was recently discovered and sent over to us.

The sixth Flying Monkey Marathon will take place on November 20, 2011.  This year’s event sold out in less than four minutes.

The race takes place in Nashville’s Harpeth Hills and is considered one of the most difficult road marathons in the United States.

The original version of this commercial was created by and narrated by Jobs. It was never released officially though.

The Flying Monkey Marathon is rated as the best marathon in Tennessee (story).

36th Marine Corps Marathon Medal (2011)

WOW! We’ve come to expect the best out of the Marines so it should be no surprise that the 36th Marine Corps Marathon medal is simply one of the best we’ve seen this year.

It looks like something straight out of an Austin Powers movie.

The MCM was run on October 30, 2011.  The race was won by Army first lieutenant Chad Ware (results).

Rock N Roll St. Louis Marathon 2011

Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon Medal (Inaugural)

The inaugural Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon took place over the weekend on October 23, 2011 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Both the full and half finisher’s medals were similar except for the color of the ring circling around the medal. The full was red (Cardinals red) and the half was navy.

Overall, I think it’s a very pretty medal that focuses on St. Louis’ most historic landmark, the Gateway Arch, with a riverboat at the base of it.
