Tom Cruise Running – Run It Fast

Tom Cruise’s Running Form Over the Years (Video)

Tom Cruise is known for a few things over the last thirty years in the public eye. Some of those things we can even openly discuss without getting sued by his legal team. One of those being the Larry Macon-like number of running scenes Cruise has had in his films.

The creator of the Tom Cruise running compilation above claims that Cruise has had a running scene in 75% of his films.

It shows all of Tom’s running from his movies over the course of his career up until 2011 (when the video was created).

Tom appears to be a hard-nosed sprinter with too much arm action and and a cocked back neck which could cause such too far back (like someone else I know during a marathon).

He runs almost as if he’s running from a bomb, crooked lawyers, or terrorists.

Best way to describe Cruise’s form: Usain Bolt in a 5’7″ white man’s body at 1/3rd the speed!

Cruise might have the most memorable brief case run that took place in The Firm.

Whizzinator

Italian Long Distance Runner Caught With Extra Penis in His Shorts

Breitbart is reporting that an Italian long distance runner, Devis Licciardi, was busted after a 10K race in Molfetta for trying to pass a drug test by using a fake penis filled with someone else’s urine.

He allegedly told the doctor he preferred to be alone during the test but the doctor refused, citing anti-doping laws that require a doctor to be in attendance.  Licciardi was caught attempting to siphon off uncontaminated urine from the fake “member” concealed in his underwear.

Licciardi, a member of the Italian Air Force team, if found guilty of having an extra penis in his undies could face a 2-year ban and years of public ridicule.

The cartoon guy at the urinal in the advertisement above is not Licciardi. It is believed to be Wario.

Joshua Holmes and Rob Distante

Extreme Racer Standings – August 2013

RIF #1 Joshua Holmes and RIF #259 Rob Distante

It’s time for the August Extreme Racer update! Not much has changed since the July update though. RIF #159 Diane Bolton is still in the lead with 1387.9 points, followed by RIF #190 John Kent Leighton in 2nd with 1246.3 points, and RIF #1 Joshua Holmes in 3rd with 1185.6 points.

On the Women’s Leaderboard, Diane is in 1st, followed by RIF #287 Carol Earles in 2nd with 798.59 points, and RIF #218 Carol Goslin is back in 3rd with 748.3 points. On the Men’s Leaderboard, John is in 1st followed by Joshua in 2nd and RIF #279 George Southgate in 3rd with 1064.07 points.

Once again, the Top Ten is split evenly with 5 Women and 5 Men which is very cool to see! Many of the Top Ten…in fact, quite a few Run It Fast Club members, are racing addicts with 50, 100, and 200+ races under their belts. When you realize how much they race, it’s not suprising that the in the last 8 months, our RIF Club Members have raced 21,575.96 miles! That total is made up of 992 races, including:

-17 100 Milers
-19 50 Milers
-55 50Ks
-382 Marathons
-120 Half Marathons
-53 10Ks
-176 5Ks
-170 races of non-traditional distances.

And that’s just from 74 of the 299 club members reporting in! In total, 76 RIF Club members have submitted points and/or monthly miles so far for 2013 (only points count in the standings so only 74 RIF Club members are listed below).

Now that summer is coming to a close, I expect the racing to pick up. Will it have any affect on the standings? Check back next month to find out!

Some RIF Club business…

This month’s random drawing winner is RIF #261 Kerri Haskins! We will be sending her a Gone For A Run sign!

Don’t forget to submit your points/monthly miles next month for a chance to win! Anyone who submits races or miles or even to say they didn’t race/run because life got in the way is eligible for the drawing. We just want to hear what everyone is up to and it’s fun to see the race miles add up. :)

Details on joining Run It Fast – The Club

[Extreme Racer points are rewarded per each racing mile completed. Example: marathon = 26.2 points, half marathon 13.1 points, etc.]
