This is the big finisher’s medal for the Costume Party Run Half Marathon that was held on July 7, 2013 in San Diego, California.

This medal is HUGE! It must weigh at least 3 pounds and is almost 6 inches across. Size matters! Plus, it’s sparkly and hello…a disco ball! Well, for sure this one would stand out in any medal collection. 🙂

This is the interesting finisher’s medal for the Giants Head Marathon on June 29, 2013 in Sydling, United Kingdom.

The medal depicts the Cerne Abbas Giant, a hill figure in Dorset, UK. It is a symbol of fertility in the local folklore. I wonder if that applies to running as well… This medal would definitely be a conversation piece in your collection!

This is the finisher’s medal for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Half Marathon that was held on June 22, 2013 in Seattle, Washington.

Also shown in the photo is the Pacific Peaks heavy medal that Wild West Runner received for running both the Portland and Seattle Rock ‘n’ Rolls in the same year. All 3 medals are very cool!

This is the finisher’s medal (top picture) for the San Francisco Marathon and Half Marathon that was held on June 16, 2013 in San Francisco, California.

Congratulations to RIF #140 Dennis who ran the 2nd Half this year and completed the Half It All Challenge (bottom pics)!

If you run the San Francisco Half Marathon, you can choose to run either the 1st Half or the 2nd Half of the marathon course. If you run each half in 2 consecutive years, then you complete the Half It All Challenge and get an additional medal. Pretty cool!
