Village Bakery Wrexham Half Marathon “Medal” (2013)

The finishers of the Village Bakery Wrexham Half Marathon did not receive your typical medal when they ran this half marathon on February 17, 2013 in Wrexham, North Wales! Instead they received a loaf of bread as their “medal”!

According to Rob, it was not a joke and was “the best ‘medal’ I have ever eaten”. I can see a bakery giving out bread as a prize. But it better be one darn good, freshly baked loaf of bread. Mmmm…warm bread… :)
