I ran the Little Rock Marathon in 2011, not knowing its medal reputation. When my significant other saw the medal she insisted that we run together this year. The medal last year was large enough that TSA required it be out of the suitcase to go through screening. Looks like this year I’ll have to bring an extra suitcase to haul the medals home. The extra weight will probably cause the airline to charge me extra.

I loved the run. Its well organized, folks are friendly and its relatively small. If you stay downtown, the start and finish are really close with no big hassles. But the medal, WAY TACKY for 2012.
