Heart of America Marathon Medal (2011)

Here is the finisher’s medal from the 2011 Heart of America Marathon that took place on September 5, 2011 in Columbia, Missouri.

I’ve seen better medals at local 5K’s, but this one at least beats a pilsner glass…I think!

If you’re worried about the medal you’re running for the wrong reason and are probably one who brags about your own times despite being less than a great runner.

Everyone runs for different reasons. There is no right or wrong reason to run. Many people enjoy running races for many reasons…and yes, some are into collecting medals from races or doing races based solely on the finisher’s medal.
